Say farewell to worry and stress and say hello to the mellow island vibe. Soak in the clean air, clean water, slower pace, and just refresh your souls. Located on the northwestern-most point of the contiguous United States, the San Juans consists of 172 named islands and reefs. A happy confluence of weather systems also accounts for the high level of air quality you’ll appreciate across the San Juans. So breath in—you’re on “island time” now!

We begin our adventure with a departure from our exclusive location at the Roche Harbor Resort, perched on the northwest corner of San Juan Island, to Stuart Island Marine State Park, where you'll camp for two nights. After two days of kayaking, hiking, camping, and connecting, we’ll paddle back to Roche Harbor and revel in 2 glorious nights glamping at Lakedale. We’ll enjoy yoga, meditation, and the option for SUP boarding, biking, or exploring on your own. Return to Friday Harbor or extend your trip!

Upon arrival at Friday Harbor, we’ll transfer to Roche Harbor to set out on our adventure. After a safety and skill briefing, we’ll board our double kayak and cross Speiden Channel, and paddle along Speiden Island, enjoying spectacular water and island views. We’ll stop at Gossip Island for lunch on a pleasant pebble beach. Upon arrival Stuart Island around 3 pm, we’ll take a moment to set up and appreciate our pristine campsite before our welcome land acknowledgment, appreciation ceremony, and yoga session.

Enjoy some free time to hike, explore the tide-pools, or simply relax. After our freshly prepared dinner, partake in an evening paddle, sit by the campfire (burn bans permitting), do a sunset hike or opt to join Raquel for guided conversations and intention setting.

Stuart Island is one of the most northwestern islands in the San Juan archipelago and is only accessible by private boat or sea kayak. Stuart Island Marine Park is part of the Cascadia Marine Trail and has over 33,000 feet of shoreline to explore by foot and sea kayak. Stuart Island has great old-growth hiking trails and rocky shorelines for tide-pooling. Stuart Island Marine State Park offers an easy two-mile hike to the iconic Stuart Island Light Station on the northwestern-most point of the island. This, along with Lovers Leap, is a favorite sunset viewpoint with sweeping views of the Canadian Gulf Islands.
