Baja, Mexico: Glamping, bioluminescence, star-studded skies, swimming with sea lions, SUP boarding, and clear blue seas!
To say that our week in Baja was magical would be a gross understatement.
We were lucky to enjoy the Tropic of Cancer Music Festival, a sea turtle release and views of whales breaching from our perfect hotel in Todos Santos. From there we made our way to the National Park of Espiritu Santo, a small, uninhabited desert island, for 4 days of glamping on the water. The star-studded sky put up a decent fight, but paddle boarding among the bioluminescence ultimately won the prize for most memorable moment in Espíritu Santo. I am humbled by the perfection of our experience glamping in the Sea of Cortez - we were gifted the most incredible sunsets, tremendous food, new best friends, swimming with sea lions, Moana-like bioluminescence and more stars than I see even camping in the mountains. Thank you, universe! You really put on a a show.
The Baja Peninsula is an adventure sports mecca. It offers endless opportunities for mountain biking, kayaking, SUP boarding, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, surfing, and on and on! It is also an ideal place to relax and soak in the scenery. Known as an artist's town, Todos Santos has been nationally appointed as a "magical town" and there is no doubt it is well deserving of such an esteemed title. Enjoy eating fresh sushi, take a cooking class, listen to live music, or simply soak in the warm Mexican sun pool or beachside.
The island of Espiritu Santo is ideal for adventurers and families alike! You can spend the day playing on the shores of the Sea of Cortez or opt for some of the unlimited water adventures! We have a motorboat, kayaks and SUP boards available to you and our Wilderness First Aid certified guides know the waters better than anyone else and are happy to take you throughout the park, offering opportunities to swim with the sea lions who are just as interested in you as you are in them, hike the rugged island, find the best snorkel spots, etc. We can also arrange scuba diving!
